About Josh

Josh at Starbucks.

My name is Joshua Chase. I’m a 30 year old San Diego native living in Atlanta, GA. I am a partner with Run Level Media. My passion is working with web technologies, and socializing. This is my personal website, but you will also find a plethora of resources over time on the following:

-Social Media and how it can work as a customer service tool for business, as well as a great way to monitor and promote your brand or products.

-Web site development is constantly evolving. You will find articles and resources here to help understand the upcoming changes that will shape the way we interact online and offline.

-SEO (Search Engine Optimization) SEM (Search Engine Marketing), organic and paid marketing campaigns is something I find challenging and exciting.

-Video production, both for the web and for mobile. I love video, I love shooting, producing, editing, and spreading great video. I have been podcasting for 5 years and video has been a big part of that. To see my last project check out Ubuntu Podcast.

-Technology has been something I have embraced for over 15 years. Yes, at 15 I ran a Galacticomm BBS system on a 286 and 386 and had my own COM server running.

-Community is something I have learned is more powerful than advertising, marketing, and catchy tunes. Those all help, but without anyone talking, sharing, verbalizing their opinions, then you aren’t really connected. I haven been a volunteer in Open Source projects and was one of the co founders of the Atlanta Linux Fest where this past September we had over 600 in attendance.

-Golf and video games is something I enjoy in my spare time. I try to play as often as possible to give my mind a break from all the geekiness. :)

I enjoy helping others. If you ever have a question or want to bounce an idea off me, please feel free to hit me up on twitter, or shoot me an emailĀ  joshcaza @ gmail(dot)com.

Why joshcaza?

When I was in high school I worked at Fuddruckers, and all my coworkers called me by my last name (Chase) since there were 3 Josh’s. Well my Mexican friends (as I am from San Diego) would call me “Caza”. This kind of became my nickname to the point where somehow it ended up on my name-tag. It just stuck.
